Antminer S9 SE Now Available
From June 18th Bitmain announced that the new Antminer S9 SE is now available to order for a pretty respectable $351. Although technically its not "new" its still offers a great price for 16THS and 1280W if you have a low energy cost.
With the price of Bitcoin recently surging this may start becoming more and more viable, and checking today (01/07/2019) on Bitmains website they are officially sold out. Is the S9SE something you would be interested in? Or would you go all out for something bigger such as the monster T17?
You can check out the S9 SE here

Meet Bitmains New Equihash Miner
Bitmain are seriously rolling out some ASIC miners this year and at the same time causing a bit of a division within the mining community. The newest miner was released this week is the Antminer Z9 mini which mines Equihash, a previous GPU miners favourite. It will hash along at 10k Sols with a power usage of 300 watts, which is a very very good ratio when you compare a 1080 which roughly hashes at 600 Sols. If you were to get your hands on one of these today and plug it in you would earn roughly around $35 a day but expect this to plummet hugely when the first batch is released and difficulty goes through the roof
This will kill off Equihash GPU mining I hear you say, well it looks as though nearly all Equihash coins are announcing a fork already. All except ZEC which are yet to make an announcement but have previously stated they wouldn't fork if ASIC's were created.
Personally this is just another miner which I will stay away from, I am still waiting to see a profit calculator for the B3 miner and see an active pool

Bitmain Release Antminer D3
So with Pinidea and Baikal having huge success with their own x11 miners it was only a matter of time until we saw Antminer joining them. Here we see the release of the Antminer D3 which solely mines the x11 algorithm at 15GH/s. The D3 looks as if it is going to be quite power hungry with the website stating that it will use 1200watts which started to make me worry. This was until I put the details into a calculator and it says it will return $200 a day at the time of writing. Now I have entered this twice as this seems absolutely insane amount of money for a miner to make and get the same results
Surely with more and more x11 miners coming out we are going to see an increase in difficulty and a drop in the profits from these new breed of mining asics? If these are being shipped in roughly two months time just think since these have appeared the DASH difficulty has gone up 300% in the last two months. That means profit could be around the $50/$70 mark when you finally get your machine, which isnt bad but its a guess if the current trend continues
Whats your thoughts on this? Will you be buying one?
You can check it out on Bitmain.com here
1. Specifications of the Antminer D3 are as follows:
a) Hash rate: 15 GH/s (Variation of ±5% is expected)
b) Power consumption: 1200W (at the wall, with Bitmain’s APW3 PSU, 93% efficiency, 25°C ambient temp).
c) Dimensions of the miner: 320*130*190mm
d) Hashing algorithm: X11
