Bitmain Release Antminer D3

So with Pinidea and Baikal having huge success with their own x11 miners it was only a matter of time until we saw Antminer joining them. Here we see the release of the Antminer D3 which solely mines the x11 algorithm at 15GH/s. The D3 looks as if it is going to be quite power hungry with the website stating that it will use 1200watts which started to make me worry. This was until I put the details into a calculator and it says it will return $200 a day at the time of writing. Now I have entered this twice as this seems absolutely insane amount of money for a miner to make and get the same results

Surely with more and more x11 miners coming out we are going to see an increase in difficulty and a drop in the profits from these new breed of mining asics? If these are being shipped in roughly two months time just think since these have appeared the DASH difficulty has gone up 300% in the last two months. That means profit could be around the $50/$70 mark when you finally get your machine, which isnt bad but its a guess if the current trend continues

Whats your thoughts on this? Will you be buying one?

You can check it out on Bitmain.com here

1. Specifications of the Antminer D3 are as follows:

b) Power consumption: 1200W (at the wall, with Bitmain’s APW3 PSU, 93% efficiency, 25°C ambient temp).
c) Dimensions of the miner: 320*130*190mm
d) Hashing algorithm: X11
