Currently ETH is sitting still and since the 2nd December which has 2000 pending transactions we are now at 25000 pending transactions. This is something I never thought I would see with ETH as the last update has been amazing, GAS fee's currently sit at 40 cents per transaction!
Even Vitalik Buterin Ethereum's creator said he never thought he would see the price of Ethereum's transactions exceed 20 cents. This is bad news for Ethereum, one of the biggest things it has going for it is speed and small transaction fee. This needs to be resolved quickly otherwise this may have massive repercussions
