Google Looking To Accept Bitcoin Payments With API Change

Rumours were flying around that Google was about to make an API update to their own browsers and others that would accept Bitcoin as a payment option. Today with an update that was confirmed within the API change that it looks as if Bitcoin will be a viable payment method via your web browser.

As you can see in the above screenshot it accepts the payment type as XBT which is the currency symbol for Bitcoin. This is a major step in the direction of being able to make payments with Bitcoin, my only worry is would the Bitcoin network be able to support this many payments this quickly?

Again this could be a load of nothing more than wishful thinking but I see this a future readiness for fast Bitcoin payments
